SUCCULENT EVENT AT TANGLETOWN GARDENS

Today, Tangletown Gardens so kindly hosted Frank and I, giving us a sneak peek preview of their Succulent Event that is happening this weekend from 10am to 5pm.

So here is how it works:

1. You can bring your own container or choose one of their amazing cool container.

2. Choose your Minnesota grown succulents.

3. Plant your succulents at their brand new indoor potting station.

You don't need to reserve a spot, so just show up and have fun!

Last weekend, they had their Staghorn Fern Mounting Workshop and Frank was lucky enough to get a lesson from Jackie on how to build and mount his own fern.

If you couldn't make it to the workshop, no worries, you can always buy their DIY take-home kits. In the kits, there are step by step instructions where you can easily follow and build your own fern mount in the comforts of your own home.

For my succulent project, I must admit that I felt a little overwhelmed on where to even begin. So many beautiful plants and so many amazing containers to choose from!

Jackie patiently asked me several questions like "Where I want to leave my succulents? "On a table?" "The floor?" "What kind of look I was going for?" and such. And later would throw out a couple of suggestions for me to pick from.

That process helped me have a better design idea, which resulted in me picking out a String Of Pearls plant as the main plant and choosing a hanging container.

I got to learn so much from Jackie today, like tips and tricks on how to better care for my plants. While helping me design my container, she was constantly combing through the store looking for different type of succulents to add to the mix.

It was so much fun!

We were adding different sort of succulents to the container, staring at it, trying to get the feel of the look, shifting the succulents around and such. For moment, Frank giggled at us, because we both were in the zone, thinking and figuring what will look best!

The design ideas was endless, plus, there were so many other things I could add to my container, like quotes and pebbles,

We are utterly grateful to be invited and have the opportunity to learn, be inspired and have so much fun with Tangletown Gardens.

Thank you so much again for having us!
